CHURCH HISTORY
Christ's Church began in 1947, when a small group of people decided to establish a new Independent Christian Church here in Mason City. Since then, we have met in three different locations, moving to our current location in 1974. We've always been a relatively small congregation and right now we have around 85 members and regular attenders, with 50 - 60 people in attendance on most Sunday mornings.
As an Independent Christian Church (with strong roots in the Restoration Movement) we are a self-governed, autonomous congregation, with elders from within the church body serving as the primary spiritual leaders for the church. Our overall goal as a church is to be faithful to the teachings of the Bible, seeing it as our sole source of spiritual authority as believers.

(In 2018 we changed our name to Christ's Church. Prior to that we went by First Church of Christ or Mason City Church of Christ.)

The financial support of domestic and international missions is very important to us as a congregation.
