HISTORY and OVERVIEW
Christ's Church (formerly known as the Church of Christ) began in 1947, when a small group of people decided to establish a new Independent Christian Church here in Mason City. Since then, we have met in three different locations, moving to our current location in 1974.
We've always been a relatively small congregation, currently averaging around 65 - 70 people most Sunday's, with a total of about 100 people that call Christ's Church their church home.
As an Independent Christian Church (with strong roots in the Restoration Movement) we are a self-governed, autonomous congregation, with elders from within the church body serving as the primary spiritual leaders for the church. Our overall goal as a church is to be faithful to the teachings of the Bible, seeing it as our sole source of spiritual authority as believers.
